September Events

A light blue graphic with dark blue text at the top that reads "SEPTEMBER EVENTS". Below the text is the logo for the Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council. At the bottom, the website "WWW.CODDC.ORG" is printed in smaller dark blue letters.

September brings a season of transition. Transition as families settle into back-to-school routines and organizations kick off fall events. The month features key observances that create meaningful dialogue across our network, including Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Month, National Non-Speaking/Nonverbal Awareness Day, and Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month.

Whether you are looking to connect in-person or virtually, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved this month. Below we compiled a list of local events, an employment opportunity, reminder of ongoing opportunities, and an honorable mention for November.

This is not an exhaustive list. Please reach out directly to the organization listed for more information or use the links below to register for an event!

Sending you positive thoughts for a smooth transition and fall season.
