Community Survey Research Project

What is the Community Survey Research Project?

The Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council conducted a Community Survey for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This survey was administered by the Colorado Office of Employment First through grant funding.

Community Survey Updates:

Our Community Survey closed on August 10th.

  • Our final response count is 499 responses. Thank you to all who participated.
  • Mostly Front Range – 81% of survey respondents live from Pueblo to Fort Collins compared to 85% of Colorado’s population.
  • Conducted prioritized outreach in July to reach areas we had not heard from.
  • All areas represented except Southeast Colorado – no results from outreach here.
  • Held three focus groups to hear more feedback from people with IDD and their families. We had a total of 26 participants in the focus groups.

Our next steps are to take the feedback we heard from you to the Council, along with the data we collected to start making decisions about what is most important to us in the next Five-Year plan.
