We are happy to provide a summary of several partner events happening in our community in June. This is not an exhaustive list but has some key opportunities for training and education on advocacy and access to services. Please reach out directly to the organization listed for more information or use the links below to register for an event!

    • June 5th, 5:30-7pm: Virtual Legislative Celebration + Congressional Organizing Party – Join us for a virtual celebration of the 2025 legislative session (including an overview of the bills we passed) and an info session on the latest from Congress. RSVP HERE

    • June 19th, 5:30-7pm: Rulemaking Training – We are hosting a virtual training on how rules and regulations are made. While the legislative process gets a lot of attention, rulemaking is an important part of the policy process. Rules and regulations form the framework for how a piece of legislation will be enacted and often dictate how laws impact people on a day-to-day basis. RSVP HERE

    • June 28th, 10am-Noon: Advocacy 101 – Are you new to advocacy? Looking to get involved but overwhelmed by where to start? If so, this is the training for you! We’ll introduce you to the advocacy world and lay out some simple ways to get involved and start your advocacy journey. RSVP HERE

    • July 25th, 5:30pm: ADA Access Awards – Join us for our annual fundraiser, which is our biggest party of the year! We’re celebrating the 35th annual anniversary of the ADA at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We’ll have great speakers and honor the amazing work of this year’s awardees. 2. This event is provided by Disability Law Colorado.

    • June 25, 4–6 PM: Champions of Disability Justice Reception

Location: The Amp (Lobby), 1580 N. Logan St., Denver, CO 80203

This special reception honors the legislators whose leadership advanced critical protections for Coloradans with disabilities during the 2025 session. Join us for light refreshments, networking, and a celebration of progress and partnership. RSVP HERE. 3. These events are provided by JFK Partners, Colorado’s University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program. They will be hosting several webinars this spring to contribute to workforce development and advocacy across the state of Colorado.
